Niho kuru mako are a collection of kurupounamu/earrings derived from the niho/tooth of the mako/shark.

These taonga represent strength, determination and never giving in, as stated in the whakatauki, kaua e mate wheke, me mate ururoa.

Niho mako made to be hung in a traditional way with inanga tips on handmade stirling silver hooks.

These are sold as a set but can be worn individually.

    All of our 'taonga' are created at our Taiwhanga Pounamu (studio) in Te Rohe oo Mataatua, handmade and hand finished,  by the Whaanau Te Kaha.  Due to this, no two pieces are exactly the same.
    Pounamu is unique and each taonga has a story to tell...
